Tropicana Cruises is set to begin Cuba cruises with the ex-Adriana III from Plein Cap, Cruise Industry News has learned. The company is registered in Belize and took delivery of the ship on August 24, renaming it the Adriana.
Tropicana is advertising seven-night/eight-day voyages on its website, homeporting out of Havana with calls around Cuba and in Ocho Rios, where there are plans to embark U.S. and Canadian passengers. Prices start at 785 euros per person.
The itinerary includes calls in Cayo Saetia, Santiago de Cuba – which Cruise Industry Newshighlighted as a potential Cuban port if the country were to open up in the Spring 2010 edition of theQuarterly Magazine, along with: Ocho Rios, Trinidad, Hueva Gerona and of course, Havana.
